University Staff Childcare Committee: Membership

This Committee oversees all areas of staff childcare provision and information within the University. It currently meets once each term to discuss policy and issues relating to the nurseries, playscheme, new childcare provision within the University, and other childcare matters as they arise.

Current members of the Committee are:

Ms Debbie Lowther, G (Chair); Mrs Sarah Corcoran; Dr Anne Ferguson-Smith, DAR; Dr Felicity Hunt, N; Ms Jenny Woodhouse, HO; Ms Angela Myers (Secretary).

There is currently a vacancy in class (e) for a person to be appointed by the Council on the nomination of the Finance Committee and members or employees of the University are invited to apply if they are interested in being appointed to the University Staff Childcare Committee. Since this is an appointment to be made on the nomination of the Finance Committee, applicants should be able to demonstrate some knowledge of matters relating to finance or buildings.

Anyone wishing to be considered or wishing to nominate someone for this appointment should send details to Ms Angela Myers, Administrative Officer, The Secretariat, The Old Schools (amjm2@admin.cam.ac.uk). Applicants should give details of their position held within the University, and a brief statement explaining why they wish to serve on this particular Committee. The Committee welcomes applications from both men and women. The closing date is Friday, 3 May.
