Wadham College

COMPUTING ASSISTANT

Wadham College wishes to appoint a part-time Computing Assistant to work with the Computer Manager (twenty hours a week, preferably with some flexibility to extend). The Computing Assistant will be expected to take part in all aspects of IT within College including, but not limited to, user IT support, hardware support, and networking. Desktop machines are mostly NT4 or Windows '95 supported by Novell servers. Applicants should be capable of installing/troubleshooting workstations as well as providing basic support in the use of Microsoft Office, e-mail, and web browsers. There will be scope for creative projects in website design, programming, and documentation.

Applications are encouraged from people who have specialized in computing and are keen to extend their knowledge and skills.

The appointment will be made on the University Computing Staff grade 1 scale, from £17,626 to £19,681 pro-rata, depending on age and experience.
