On Tuesday, 19 February, the Cambridge University Scientific Society will host a talk entitled Unpredictability in science, by Professor Sir John Meurig Thomas, FRS, FRSE, Master of Peterhouse. This talk, concerning the nature of modern research, will begin at 8 p.m. in the Pharmacology Lecture Theatre on Tennis Court Road, and costs £1. The speaker and Committee will dine at Brown's Restaurant from 6 p.m. Those wishing to dine should send notification to Peter McKeown (e-mail pcm24@cam.ac.uk).
