The Council give notice that, on the nomination of the Vice-Chancellor, they have appointed Professor M. J. Grant, CL, to be a Pro-Vice-Chancellor for three years from 1 January 2002.
Statute D, IV provides for two offices of Pro-Vice-Chancellor. The other office is currently held by Mrs A. M. Lonsdale, NH, who was reappointed for three years from 1 July 2001.
