Dr Stephen Alford, of King's College, will give a short talk on Kingship and politics in the reign of Edward VI, and Dr Guy Rowlands, of Newnham College, will give a short talk on The French army and the preservation of the Bourbon dynasty under Louis XIV, at a meeting of the Cambridge Historical Society at 5 p.m. on Tuesday, 30 October, in the Rushmore Room, St Catharine's College. Prospective members are welcome, and drinks will be served after the meeting.
