A joint meeting of the Society with the Cambridge Local History Society will be held at 2.15 p.m. on Saturday, 6 October, at St John's Community Hall, Hills Road, when Mr Bernard O'Connor will give a paper entitled The Rev. John Berridge, The Gospel Pedlar.
A meeting of the Society will be held at 6 p.m. on Monday, 8 October, in the Chemistry Laboratory, Lensfield Road, when Mr Trevor Cooper and Mr Bob Walker will give a paper on William Dowsing: a seventeenth-century iconoclast in Cambridgeshire.
Members of the Society are welcome to bring guests, and junior members of the University are welcome at all lecture meetings.
