Historical Society

Dr Natasha Glaisyer, of the University of York, will give a short talk on Imagining public credit: metaphors of circulation in late seventeenth- and early eighteenth-century England, and Dr Leigh Shaw-Taylor, of Jesus College, will give a short talk on Parliamentary enclosure and the decline of the small land-holder: the land tax evidence revisited, at a meeting of the Society at 5 p.m. on Tuesday, 8 May, in the Munro Room, Queens' College. Prospective members are welcome and drinks will be served after the meeting.
