Peterhouse

CATALOGUER

Peterhouse intends to appoint a project Cataloguer, to complete the retrospective cataloguing of the undergraduate working collection (the Ward Library) on the Library's Unicorn database. This is a four-year appointment starting in July 2001, and would suit one full-time or two part-time applicants. The post-holder may, from time to time, be responsible for the day-to-day running of the Library in the absence of the Assistant Librarian. The salary will be £16,775 a year for a full-time appointment, or £8,387 for a part-time appointment.

Applicants should have a degree or postgraduate qualification in Librarianship or Information Studies with a minimum of three years' experience in an automated academic, or comparable, library. They should be familiar with AACR2 and MARC cataloguing standards and LCSH.
