The Fellows of Mansfield College intend to elect a Principal. It is anticipated that the new Principal will take up office in October 2002 following the retirement of David Marquand. Any suitably qualified person, male or female, who may wish to apply, or anyone who would like to suggest names of suitable candidates, is invited to write in confidence, by 1 May, 2001, to Dr A. Lemon, Chairman of the Search Committee, Mansfield College, Oxford, OX1 3TF, from whom further particulars may also be obtained. The choice of the College will not necessarily be limited to those whose names come forward at this stage.
