Downing College

COLLEGE TEACHING OFFICER IN HISTORY

Downing College invites applications for a fixed-term, two-year post of College Teaching Officer in History, with effect from 1 October 2001, to cover a period of leave of absence of the permanent post-holder. The appointment is non-renewable and is subject to the Statutes of the College. The Teaching Officer will be expected to direct studies at Downing and to be responsible for the academic work of our undergraduates in History. The stipend will be in accordance with stages 8-13 of the scale for a University Assistant Lecturer (£18,731 - £23,256), depending on the age and experience of the person appointed. There will be additional remuneration for Direction of Studies. Further information about the College can be found on the website (www.dow.cam.ac.uk/).
