Philosophical Society

Professor C. P. Ellington, of the Department of Zoology, will deliver a lecture, entitled How insects fly, at 8.30 p.m. on Monday, 5 March, in the Cockcroft Lecture Theatre, New Museums Site. All who are interested are invited.

At a meeting held on 19 February, Professor A. Howie, President, was in the Chair. Twenty-seven Fellows were elected and one was re-elected.

Professor J. A. Pyle, of the Centre for Atmospheric Science, Department of Chemistry, delivered a lecture, entitled The ozone layer and climate change. A vote of thanks was moved by Dr Joe Farman.
