Professor J. A. Pyle, of the Centre for Atmospheric Science, Department of Chemistry, will deliver a lecture, entitled The ozone layer and climate change, at 8.30 p.m. on Monday, 19 February, in the Cockcroft Lecture Theatre, New Museums Site. All who are interested are invited.
At a meeting held on 5 February, Professor A. Howie, President, was in the Chair. Twenty-four Fellows were elected and three were re-elected.
Dr M. A. Tester, of the Department of Plant Sciences, delivered a lecture, entitled GM: stress therapy for plants. A vote of thanks was moved by Professor John Parker.
