Queens' College

RESEARCH STUDENTSHIPS 2001

Arts, humanities, and social sciences

Queens' College intends to award up to two Research Studentships in any field in the arts, humanities, or social sciences. The Studentships are intended to provide fees-only support, up to a maximum value of £10,000 a year, and are tenable for up to three years. The competition is open to all graduate students, home and overseas, intending to commence research towards a Ph.D. Degree from 1 October 2001.

Sciences

Queens' College intends to award one Research Studentship in any field in the sciences. The Studentship is intended to provide fees-only support, up to a maximum value of £1,500 a year, and is tenable for up to three years. The competition is open to all home graduate students, intending to commence research towards a Ph.D. Degree from 1 October 2001.

 

In each case, holders must become members of the College and must have indicated Queens' as their first preference in application to the Board of Graduate Studies. The award of a Studentship is conditional upon the student being accepted by the relevant University Department (via the Board of Graduate Studies).

The closing date for completed applications is 27 April 2001. Applications should be made in writing (there is no application form) and must include a full curriculum vitae and a statement of the proposed research project. Two letters of recommendation should be sent separately to reach the College by the closing date. Applications should be sent to the Clerk to the Tutors, Queens' College, Cambridge, CB3 9ET.
