Disability equality training for University staff: Notice

The Disability Resource Centre is offering the following training courses for staff over the next three months. The sessions are open to anyone who is interested on a first come, first served basis.

All sessions will consider general issues affecting disabled students and will have another focus as outlined below. These sessions will be open to all interested staff.

26 January Dyslexia awareness, 10 a.m. - 4 p.m., Pavilion Room, Hughes Hall.
2 February Accessible teaching styles, 1.30 - 4.30 p.m., Hughes Hall.
5 February Disability equality training for reception staff, 1 - 5 p.m., Institute of Education.
13 February Understanding and meeting the needs of disabled students, 1.30 - 4.30 p.m., Hughes Hall.
12 March Mental illness/distress in students - exploring best practice, 1.30 - 4.30 p.m., Hughes Hall.
