RUSKIN MASTERSHIP OF DRAWING AND PROFESSORSHIP OF FINE ART

The electors intend to proceed to an election to the Ruskin Mastership of Drawing and Professorship of Fine Art with effect from 1 October 2001.

The post of Ruskin Master of Drawing is crucial to the identity of the Ruskin School of Drawing and Fine Art, both as a Department within the University and in the wider world of art outside it. The overall direction, image, and role of the School are in his or her hands. The Ruskin Master should have a high reputation as a practising artist, should be a successful teacher, and will be of proven administrative ability. A non-stipendiary Fellowship at St Edmund Hall is attached to the post.

Applications (ten copies, or one only from overseas candidates), naming three persons who have agreed to act as referees on this occasion, should be received not later than 5 February 2001, by the Registrar, University Offices, Wellington Square, Oxford, OX1 2JD, from whom further particulars may be obtained. Further particulars may also be accessed on the Web (URL: http://www.admin.ox.ac.uk/fp/).
