Professor R. H. Helmholz, Ph.D., California (Berkeley), LL.D., Trinity College, Dublin, Ruth Wyatt Rosenson Professor of Law at the University of Chicago, elected Arthur Goodhart Visiting Professor in Legal Science from 1 October 2000 for one year.
Mr D. K. Menon, M.B., B.S., M.D., Madras, Ph.D., London, FRCP, FRCA, FMedSci, University Lecturer in the Department of Medicine, elected Professor of Anaesthesia from 1 September 2000.
