Marconi Professorship of Communications Systems: Notice

The Board of Electors to the Professorship of Communications Systems invite applications for this newly-established Professorship in the Computer Laboratory and it is hoped that the successful candidate will take up appointment on or before 1 October 2001. Candidates for this senior post should be working in the broad field of communications systems, ranging over communication networks, security, large scale systems, distributed information and its management, and from theoretical models to practical implementations. The Computer Laboratory has a broad research spectrum and has been awarded the highest rating in every UK Research Assessment Exercise. The appointment will be subject to the Statutes and Ordinances of the University.
