Darwin College

GRADUATE SCHOLARSHIPS IN ARTS (INCLUDING SOCIAL SCIENCES)

The College proposes to award one Graduate Scholarship in Arts (including Social Sciences) to a student of British nationality normally resident in the UK who has been accepted by the Board of Graduate Studies, to commence studies in October 2001, and has nominated Darwin College as the College of first preference. The Scholarship is restricted to those applying for one-year courses and is not intended for those wishing to be registered for the Ph.D. The value of the Scholarship will be in all respects equivalent to an Arts and Humanities Research Board award.

Applicants should complete a scholarship application form, obtainable from the Dean, Darwin College, Cambridge, CB3 9EU (tel. 01223 335675), to whom all enquiries should be directed. A general graduate entry application should also have been made to the Board of Graduate Studies, 4 Mill Lane, Cambridge, CB2 1RZ, on CIGAS Form A.

The Scholarship may not be held in conjunction with any other major award. Applications must arrive by Friday 10 August 2001, and a decision will be made by Monday 27 August 2001.

PHILOSOPHY STUDENTSHIPS

These are open to UK students who will be commencing their studies in October 2001 within the Faculty of Philosophy, University of Cambridge. Preference will be given to those who have nominated Darwin College as the college of first preference on CIGAS Form A. The Studentships are for £1,000 and the limit of tenure is one year, although holders may re-apply in subsequent years.

COLLEGE BURSARIES

These are open to all students who will be commencing their studies in October 2001. Preference will be given to those who have nominated Darwin College as the college of first preference on CIGAS Form A. The Bursaries are for £1,000 and can be held for a maximum of one year.
