The Registrary has received notice from the Clerk of the Privy Council that Her Majesty The Queen, at a Council held on 12 July 2000, was pleased to approve the amendments of Statute B which were submitted under the Common Seal of the University in accordance with Grace 1 of 24 November 1999. The amendments relate to the introduction of the new degree of Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (see the Joint Report, dated 21 June and 2 June 1999, of the Council and the General Board on the establishment of a degree of Doctor of Veterinary Medicine, Reporter, 1998-99, p. 778).

Following the approval of the amendments to the Statute, the regulations for the degree of Doctor of Veterinary Medicine will take effect from 1 October 2000.
