The College proposes to elect, in February 2001, one or two Junior Research Fellows, known as Fellows by Examination. Candidates should have a good Honours degree or its equivalent and have completed, or be near to completing, a doctorate or other postgraduate research, and will already have demonstrated outstanding promise in his or her chosen field. In any event, the candidate must not have completed more than four years of graduate study by 1 October 2000.
Each Fellowship is tenable for three years, at a stipend starting at £11,086 a year (under review). The Fellow is a member of the governing body of the College and is entitled to free lunches and dinners, to a research allowance, and either to free rooms or to a discretionary housing allowance.
