The following election, appointments, and reappointment have been made:

Election

Professor D. N. Sedley, M.A., CHR, M.A., Oxford, Ph.D., London, FBA, Professor of Ancient Philosophy, Faculty of Classics, elected Laurence Professor of Ancient Philosophy from 3 July 2000.

Appointments

Computer Officer

Clinical Medicine. Mr D. J. Tasker, B.Sc., London, appointed Computer Officer, Grade II, from 1 May 2000 for three years.

Assistant Director of Research

Astronomy. Mrs C. S. Crawford, M.A., Ph.D., N, M.A., Oxford, appointed from 1 October 1999 for five years.

Senior Assistant in Research

Chemistry. Mr D. J. Dixon, D.Phil., Oxford, appointed from 1 April 2000 for five years.

Reappointment

University Assistant Lecturer

French. Dr J. D. Leigh, F, reappointed from 1 April 2000 for two years.
