Elections

Professor J. S. Bell, M.A., T, D.Phil., Oxford, FBA, Professor of Public and Comparative Law, University of Leeds, elected Professor of Law (1973) from 1 October 2001.

Professor J. T. Yates, B.S., Juniata College, Pennsylvania, Ph.D., Massachusetts Institute of Technology, R. K. Mellon Professor, University of Pittsburgh, Director of the Pittsburgh Surface Science Center, elected John Wilfrid Linnett Visiting Professor of Chemistry from 7 May 2000 to 4 June 2000.

Professor T. V. Ramakrishnan, B.Sc., M.Sc., Banaras Hindu, Ph.D., Columbia, elected Rothschild Visiting Professor in the Isaac Newton Institute for Mathematical Sciences from 1 May 2000 to 30 June 2000.

Professor I. de Solà-Morales, Ph.D., Escuela Técnica Superior de Arquitectura, Barcelona, Professor of Architectural Theory, University of Barcelona, elected BBV Foundation Visiting Professor, assigned to the Department of Architecture, from 25 April 2000 to 16 June 2000.

Professor F. Vidal, D.E.A., Ecole Normale Supérieure, Paris, Ph.D., Paris VI, Ph.D., Complutense University, Madrid, Professor of Physics, University of Santiago de Compostela, elected BBV Foundation Visiting Professor, assigned to the Department of Physics from 15 July 2000 to 15 September 2000.
