The following elections, appointments, and reappointments have been made:

Elections

Professor R. P. Haining, M.A., CTH, M.Sc., Ph.D., Northwestern University, Professor of Geography, University of Sheffield, elected Professor of Human Geography from 1 October 2000.

Professor J. E. C. MacBeath, OBE, M.A., M.Ed., Glasgow, P.G.C.E., Jordanhill College, Professor and Director, Quality in Education Centre, University of Strathclyde, elected Professor of Educational Leadership from 1 October 2000.

Senior Design Engineer

University Offices (General Board Division). Ms M. A. Bodfish, B.A., East Anglia, Cert. Man., Open, appointed from 5 June 2000 for three years, with duties in the Department of Zoology. Ms C. C.
