Examination in Sociology and Politics of Modern Society for the M.Phil. Degree (one-year course)

On the recommendation of the Faculty Board of Social and Political Sciences, and with the approval of the General Board and the Board of Graduate Studies, the regulations for the examination in Sociology and Politics of Modern Society for the M.Phil. Degree (one-year course) (Statutes and Ordinances, p. 457) have been amended as set out below. The purpose of the amendment is to reduce the number of papers for the examination as the number has been found to be excessive in comparison to examinations for other M.Phil. subjects within the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences. The regulations have been amended, with effect from 1 October 2000, as follows:

Regulation 2(b).

By replacing the words 'four essays' by the words 'three essays'.
