The Society invites applications from Fellows of the Society for a Prize Research Fellowship to be awarded in the year 2000 for a period of six months, with a stipend of £6,000. The successful candidate should have completed the requirements for the Ph.D. Degree within the stipulated time, produced a thesis of exceptional quality, and identified a novel project which could be expected to yield valuable results during the period of the Fellowship.
Letters of application, together with a curriculum vitae, a statement of the proposed research project, and the names of three referees, should be sent to the Executive Secretary, Cambridge Philosophical Society, Bene't Street, Cambridge, CB2 3PY, so as to arrive not later than 1 October 2000. Applicants will need to arrange for referees to have communicated directly with the Executive Secretary by the same date.
