Professorship of Behavioural Science: Notice

The Board of Electors to the Professorship of Behavioural Science, which is based in the Department of Public Health and Primary Care, invite applications for this newly-established Professorship, to take up appointment on 1 October 2000 or as soon as possible thereafter. The Professorship has been established to complement the work of the Professor of General Practice in the area of health-related behaviour change and preventive medicine and the work of the Department of Public Health and Primary Care more generally. The successful candidate will provide leadership in research and teaching and will be expected to interact closely in both areas with cognate institutions throughout the University. The appointment will be subject to the Statutes and Ordinances of the University.

Candidates for the Professorship should send a copy of their application, marked 'Confidential', together with the names of two referees, to the Acting Secretary General of the Faculties, from whom further information regarding the Professorship is available, at the General Board Office, The University Offices, The Old Schools, Cambridge, CB2 1TT, so as to reach him not later than Friday, 26 May 2000.
