St Edmund's College

FELLOW AND COLLEGE LECTURER IN ECONOMICS

St Edmund's College invites applications for a Fellowship and College Lectureship in Economics, with effect from 1 October 2000. The appointment, which is open to both men and women, will be for three years, with a possibility of renewal for a further two years, and is subject to the Statutes and Ordinances of the College. The Lecturer will be responsible for the academic work of undergraduates in Economics and will be required to teach in small group supervisions for twelve hours a week during term time in preparation for the Cambridge Economics Tripos. He or she will take a full part in the administrative aspects of teaching in Economics at St Edmund's, including direction of studies and admissions. Applicants with interests in any area of Economics are welcome and there will be a shared teaching arrangement with Downing College. The stipend of a College Lecturer, which is pensionable under the Universities Superannuation Scheme, will be at a point in the range £17,238 to £22,579 (equivalent to the University Assistant Lecturer scale), depending on age and experience.
