The Registrary has received notice from the Clerk of the Privy Council that Her Majesty The Queen, at a Council held on 8 February 2000, was pleased to approve the amendments of Statute G which were submitted under the Common Seal of the University in accordance with Grace 6 of 26 May 1999.
The amendments introduced changes in the provisions in Chapter II of this Statute relating to financial relations between the University and Colleges, and the Colleges Fund, following the Secretary of State for Education and Employment's review of the arrangements for the public funding of College fees. It was agreed to increase the resources of the Colleges Fund from which less well endowed Colleges receive subventions (see Reporter, 1998-99, p. 472).
The new arrangements will first apply to the calculation of College contributions in respect of the year 1999-2000. Amendments to Schedule G also take effect from the year 1999-2000.
