Cambridge Festival of American Literature, 2000: Notice

A Festival of American Literature will be held at King's College on 17-19 March, organized by the Faculty of English, King's College Research Centre, and the Literary Journal Stand. The Festival will offer readings by leading American writers, discussions on literary issues, and two small exhibitions at the Fitzwilliam Museum, one of American works of art, the other one of modern American first editions. The Festival will coincide with the publication of two books: The American Mystery (CUP), by the late Professor Tony Tanner, and A Kiss in Space (Arc), by Mary Jo Salter. The Festival will open at the Fitzwilliam Museum at 6 p.m. on Friday, 17 March, with an address by Professor Frank Kermode, followed by a reception. It will end at approximately 5 p.m. on Sunday, with a closing address by Stephen Fender.
