Applications are invited from men and women for a Tutorial Fellowship in English, for two years with effect from 1 October 2000. Applications are welcome from candidates with ability to teach English Literature between 1642 and the present day. The successful candidate will be expected to make a major contribution to teaching English to undergraduates within the context of English Moderations, the Honour School of English, and the joint Honour Schools.

Applications, including a curriculum vitae, should be sent to reach Balliol College not later than Saturday, 25 March 2000. Three referees should be asked to send references to the Acting Master by the same date.
