Social and Political Sciences Tripos, Parts IIA and IIB, 2001-02: Notice

The Faculty Board of Social and Political Sciences give notice, in accordance with New Regulation 8 (Reporter, p. 285), that the variable subjects for the examinations in Parts IIA and IIB of the Social and Political Sciences Tripos to be held for the first time in 2001-02 will be as follows:

PART IIb

Pol. 7. A subject in modern politics II: Western Europe.

Pol. 8. A subject in modern politics III: North America.

Pol. 9. A subject in modern politics IV: Revolutions.

Pol. 12. A special subject in social anthropology: Nationalism, race, and ethnicity (Paper S10 of Part II of the Archaeological and Anthropological Tripos).

Psy. 4. A subject in psychology I: Language.

Psy. 5. A subject in psychology II: Psychology and social issues.

Soc. 3. A subject in sociology I: Political economy.

Soc. 4. A subject in sociology II: Media, culture, and society.

Soc. 5. A subject in sociology III: Modern Britain.

Soc. 8. A subject in the sociology of education (Paper 4 of Part II of the Education Tripos).

Int. 3. An interdisciplinary subject I: Medicine, health, and illness.

Int. 4. An interdisciplinary subject II: Biotechnologies.

Int. 5. An interdisciplinary subject III: Women and society.

Int. 8. A specified subject in South Asian Studies (Paper In. 27 of the Oriental Studies Tripos).

The following papers will not be available for the examination in 2002:

Soc. 6. A subject in sociology IV.
