Association of Universities of the East of England

EXECUTIVE CHAIR OF STEERING COMMITTEE (PART-TIME)

The Vice-Chancellors of the Universities in the East of England and the Regional Director, The Open University in East Anglia, are setting up an Associ-ation of Universities for the East of England. The Association will promote collaboration, partnership, focus, and shared practice that will bring greater benefit to the economic, social, and cultural well-being of the East of England.

The Association is seeking applicants for the post of the Executive Chair of the Steering Committee of the Association.

The seven Vice-Chancellors, the Regional Director of the Open University, and the Executive Chair of the Steering Committee will form a Strategy Group. The Executive Chair will also chair the Steering Committee of the Association. The Steering Committee will be made up of senior members drawn from each of the Universities in membership and will be responsible for the day to day management of the Association.

The post of Executive Chair is expected to be filled by a senior person on secondment from one of the constituent Universities of the Association. The appoint-ment will be for a three-year period and will be part-time (0.5). The salary will be £40,000, pro rata.
