The following lectures and seminars will be open to members of the University and others who are interested:
Cambridge Committee for Russian and East European Studies. A networking meeting, to exchange information about research interests, will be held at 6 p.m. on Monday, 6 December, in Main Saltmarsh Room, King's College.
Criminology. A seminar, entitled Hobson's choice: coerced treatment for dependent drug users, will be given by Professor Mike Hough, of South Bank University, London, at 5.30 p.m. on Thursday, 2 December, in Room B.16, Faculty of Law, West Road.
Pure Mathematics and Mathematical Statistics. Richard Taylor, of Harvard University, will deliver the third Kuwait Fund Lecture, entitled The local Langlands conjecture, at 5 p.m. on Tuesday, 18 January 2000, in Lecture Room 3, Mill Lane Lecture Rooms.
