St Catharine's College

FELLOW AND COLLEGE LECTURER IN MATHEMATICS

St Catharine's College invites applications for the post of Fellow and College Lecturer in Mathematics, to take up appointment as soon as possible. Candidates with an interest in Pure Mathematics in the fields of differential geometry or complex analysis are encouraged to apply. The Lecturer will be expected to direct studies in Pure Mathematics, and will be responsible, with the Director of Studies in Applied Mathematics, for the academic work of undergraduates, and should be willing to supervise, if required, most of the courses offered in Part IA or IB of the Mathematics Tripos. The Lecturer will also take on responsibility for monitoring the performance of the second- and third-year Mathematics students in the CATAM projects.

The appointment is for three years, with a possibility of renewal for a further two years, and is subject to the College Ordinance relating to College Lecturers (available on request). The stipend, which can be pensionable under the University's Superannuation Scheme, will be at a point in the range £17,238 to £22,579 a year (equivalent to University Assistant Lecturer scale), depending on age and experience.
