Annual Meetings of Faculties

Education

The Chairman of the Faculty Board of Education gives notice that the Annual Meeting of the Faculty will be held at 4 p.m. on Thursday, 18 November 1999, at the School of Education, Shaftesbury Road. The business of the meeting will include the election, in accordance with Statute C, IV, 2(c), of seven members of the Faculty Board in class (c) to serve from 1 January 2000 for four years in place of the retiring members: Mr J. Beck, Dr P. W. Cooper, Ms C. McLaughlin, Mr J. G. A. Raffan, Dr K. B. H. Ruthven, Dr I. H. Morrison, and Dr J. M. Whitehead, all of whom are eligible for re-election.

Nominations for these elections, signed by the proposer and the seconder and by the nominee, indicating willingness to serve if elected, and notice of any other business, should be sent to the Secretary of the Faculty of Education, 17 Trumpington Street, Cambridge, CB2 1QA, to reach her not later than Wednesday, 17 November 1999.

Social and Political Sciences

The Chairman of the Faculty Board of Social and Political Sciences gives notice that the Annual Meeting of the Faculty will be held at 2 p.m. on Thursday, 18 November 1999, in the SPS Committee Room, Old Cavendish Building, New Museums Site. All members of the Faculty are invited to attend. An election will be held, in accordance with Statute C, IV, 2(c), of three members of the Faculty Board in class (c) to serve for four years from 1 January 2000, and one member in class (c) to serve for three years from 1 January 2000 to replace Dr K. Prandy who has resigned.

Nominations, proposed and seconded in writing, together with an indication of the nominee's willingness to serve, and notification of any other business, should be sent in writing to the Secretary of the Faculty Board of Social and Political Sciences, Free School Lane, not later than Monday, 15 November 1999.
