Merton College

GREENDALE SCHOLARSHIP 2000

Merton College proposes to elect a Greendale Scholar from 1 October 2000. Greendale Scholarships are for Swiss nationals or Swiss residents, who are graduates of, or in their final year of study at a Swiss university. The term 'Swiss resident' means an individual of whatever nationality who holds a category 'B' or a category 'C' residence permit issued by the government of Switzerland. Candidates should have completed their first degree between 1 May 1997 and 1 October 2000, and should have spent no more than two years in postgraduate study or research. The Scholarship will run for up to three years. It covers full board and lodging at Oxford, all University and College fees, and a contribution towards other costs.

The Greendale Scholar will be required to register for a degree course or some other formal qualification within the University of Oxford. In no circumstances will a Scholarship be conferred upon someone who is not able to enter the University in October 2000.
