Annual Meetings of Faculties

Architecture and History of Art

The Chairman of the Faculty Board of Architecture and History of Art gives notice that the Annual Meeting of the Faculty will be held at 2.15 p.m. on Tuesday, 9 November 1999, in the Classroom of the Department of Architecture, 1-5 Scroope Terrace. The main business will be to elect, in accordance with Statute C, IV, 2(c), two members in class (c) to serve for four years from 1 January 2000.

Nominations for election and notice of any other business for this meeting should reach the Secretary of the Faculty Board of Architecture and History of Art, 1-5 Scroope Terrace, by Friday, 5 November 1999.

Divinity

The Chairman of the Faculty Board of Divinity gives notice that the Annual Meeting of the Faculty will be held at 2.15 p.m. on Thursday, 18 November 1999, in the Lightfoot Room of the Divinity School. The business of the meeting will be: Chairman's report; report by the Director of CARTS; election of two members of the Faculty Board to serve for four years, one for two years, and one for one year in class (c).

Nominations for the posts in class (c) must be seconded and the consent of the candidate obtained in advance, and should reach the Administrative Officer, Ms R. M. Paul, Divinity School, St John's Street, Cambridge, CB2 1TW, not later than Monday, 8 November 1999. Notice of any matter connected with the work of the Faculty which a member wishes the meeting to discuss should reach Ms Paul by the same date.

Engineering

The Chairman of the Faculty Board of Engineering gives notice that the Annual Meeting of the Faculty will be held at l p.m. on Wednesday, 10 November 1999, in Lecture Room 6 of the Engineering Department. Ballot boxes will be available in the Press Site and the Whittle Laboratory. Elections will be held, in accordance with Statute C, IV, 2(c), of four members in class (c) to serve for four years from 1 January 2000.

Nominations and notice of any other business should be sent in writing to the Secretary, Dr D. R. H. Jones, to reach him not later than 5 p.m. on Thursday, 4 November 1999.

Law

The Chairman of the Faculty Board of Law gives notice that the Annual Meeting of the Faculty will held at 5 p.m. on Thursday, 18 November 1999, in G24, Faculty of Law, 10 West Road. The main item of business will be the Chairman's report and the election of two members of the Faculty Board in class (c) to serve for four years from 1 January 2000.

Modern and Medieval Languages

The Chairman of the Faculty Board of Modern and Medieval Languages gives notice that the Annual Meeting of the Faculty will be held at 2.15 p.m. on Monday, 15 November 1999, in the Little Hall, Sidgwick Avenue. Elections will be held, in accordance with Statute C, II, 2(c), of three members in class (c) to serve for four years from 1 January 2000, and one member for two years.

Nominations, duly seconded and accompanied by a statement of the nominee's consent to nomination, and notice of any other business for this meeting, should reach the Secretary of the Faculty Board, Sidgwick Avenue before Tuesday, 9 November 1999.

Music

The Chairman of the Faculty Board of Music gives notice that the Annual Meeting of the Faculty will be held at 2 p.m. on Thursday, 11 November 1999, in Lecture Room 2 of the University Music School. Among the business to be transacted will be the election, in accordance with Statute C, IV, 2(c), of one member of the Faculty Board to serve for four years from 1 January 2000.

Nominations for the election and notice of any other business should reach the Secretary of the Faculty Board, Mrs S. C. Round, Faculty of Music, 11 West Road, not later than Thursday, 4 November 1999.

Philosophy

The Chairman of the Faculty Board of Philosophy gives notice that the Annual Meeting of the Faculty will be held at 2 p.m. on Monday, 22 November 1999, in Room 1.11 of the Faculty of Classics, Sidgwick Avenue. The main business will be the election of two members of the Faculty Board in class (c), in accordance with Statute C, IV, 2(c), to serve for four years from 1 January 2000.

Nominations for these elections and notice of any other business should reach the Secretary, Mrs A. Elliott, Philosophy Faculty Office, Room 13, Raised Faculty Building, Sidgwick Avenue, by Friday, 12 November 1999.

Physics and Chemistry

The Chairman of the Faculty Board of Physics and Chemistry gives notice that the Annual Meeting of the Faculty will be held at 2.15 p.m. on Friday, 19 November 1999, in the Committee Room, Institute of Astronomy, Madingley Road. The main business of the meeting will be the election of three members of the Faculty Board in class (c), in accordance with Statute C, IV, 2(c), to serve for four years from 1 January 2000. The retiring members are Dr T. W. Clyne, Dr B. R. Webber, and Professor D. H. Williams.

Nominations, signed by the proposer and seconder, for which the consent of the candidate must be obtained, should reach the Secretary at the Institute of Astronomy, Madingley Road, not later than Monday, 8 November 1999. Notice of any other business should reach the Secretary by the same date.
