Philosophical Society and Society for the Application of Research

Professor Stephen O'Rahilly, of the Department of Medicine, will deliver a lecture, entitled Human obesity: simply gluttony and sloth?, at 8.30 p.m. on Monday, 25 October, in the Cockroft Lecture Theatre, New Museums Site. All who are interested are invited. This will be a joint meeting of the Philosophical Society and the Society for the Application of Research.

At a meeting of the Philosophical Society held on 11 October, Dr A. J. Munro, President, was in the Chair. Professor F. P. Kelly, FRS, delivered the Larmor Lecture, entitled Mathematical modelling of the internet. A vote of thanks to the speaker was moved by Dr P. Key.
