Technology Colleges Trust

BUSINESS GOVERNORS FOR SCHOOLS

The Technology Colleges Trust, formerly the City Technology Colleges Trust, was founded in 1987 to promote an educational culture which is scientific and technological, vocational, and international. Specialist schools were founded from existing maintained secondary schools for pupils aged between 11 to 16 or 11 to 19. They teach the national curriculum but specialize either in mathematics, science, or technology, or in languages, arts, or sports.

In order to meet an increasing number of requests from these schools for help in finding governors with business or administrative experience the Trust invites applications from candidates interested in serving as governors of specialist schools in their geographical areas.

School governors typically attend eight meetings a year (usually in the evenings) and normally serve for up to four years.
