LECTURER IN CLINICAL PHARMACOLOGY (FIXED-TERM)

A Lecturer in Clinical Pharmacology in the Department of Medicine is required to take up appointment from 1 January 2000, or as soon as possible thereafter. The successful applicant, who will be recommended for an honorary consultant contract with the Addenbrooke's NHS Trust, will be required to undertake teaching, research, and clinical work. The appointment will be for a fixed term of five years, and may be renewable. The pensionable salary is £20,811-£32,095 a year. The successful candidate will be eligible to receive an additional payment for clinical responsibility related to the amount of clinical work undertaken. If, as expected, the lecturer undertakes the equivalent of six or more NHS sessions a week of clinical work the payment will be such as to bring his or her total pensionable emoluments into line with a point on the NHS salary scale for consultants (£47,345-£61,605).
