A Postdoctoral Research Associate in Economics is needed to work part-time (four days a week) with Dr Frank Carey on a study of poverty, debt, and development in Sub-Saharan Africa. The project includes analysis of statistics from governments, the IMF, and the World Bank. A background in theory of economic development, statistics and modelling, and in the ethics of development is required. The project will last from 1 August 1999 to 31 December 2000.
Applicants should have a Ph.D. Degree and some research experience in the area of study. Salary will be pro rata at the appropriate point (age-related) on the Research Associate scale, with a maximum of £20,107 a year.
