The Vice-Chancellor gives notice that the 1999 Leslie Stephen Lecturer, Dr Jonathan Steinberg, will speak in the Senate-House at 5.30 p.m. on Thursday, 25 November 1999.
Dr Steinberg's subject will be Leslie Stephen and derivative immortality.
Further details of the arrangements for the Lecture will be published in October.
