Following the election of its stipendiary lecturer to a Fellowship, the College seeks to appoint a Stipendiary Lecturer in Pure Mathematics from October 1999 until July 2001. The appointment is not renewable. The annual stipend payable is £10,490 (currently under review). The Lecturer will be required to provide eight hours' teaching a week. Applications containing a curriculum vitae and the names of two referees, together with a brief statement of teaching experience and research interests, should be sent to the Senior Tutor, Magdalen College, Oxford, OX1 4AU, by Friday, 4 June 1999. Candidates should ask referees to write directly to the Senior Tutor in their support by this date. Interviews will be held on Monday, 14 June 1999.
