DIRECTOR OF PERSONNEL

Applications are invited for the above post, for appointment with immediate effect. The Director of Personnel will be responsible through the University Registrary for the development of the University's personnel policies and for their implementation through the Personnel Division of the University Offices which she or he will establish and lead. The University has an international reputation for the excellence of its teaching and research in 47 academic departments. It employs approximately 7,100 staff and has an annual turnover of around £300m. The Director will be a graduate or equivalent, with IPD or other relevant professional qualifications, and with a record of successful staff leadership and excellent inter-personal skills.

The appointment will be for five years in the first instance. The salary will be in the region of £50,000 a year, according to qualifications and experience.
