Postgraduate Certificate in Design, Manufacture, and Management

The regulations for the Postgraduate Certificate in Design, Manufacture, and Management (Statutes and Ordinances, p. 528) have been amended as set out below. The purpose of the amendment is to formalize the arrangements for the submission of dissertations, and to require each candidate to certify the originality of his or her dissertation. The regulations have been amended as follows:

By renumbering Regulations 5-10 as 6-11 and by inserting the following as Regulation 5:

5. The dissertation required under Regulation 4(c) shall be in typewritten form, and shall be submitted to the Secretary of the Faculty Board, in accordance with detailed arrangements approved by the Board, by a date to be determined by the Board. Each candidate will be required to sign a declaration that the dissertation is his or her own work, unaided except as may be specified in the declaration, and that it does not contain material that has already been used to any substantial extent for a comparable purpose.
