The Vice-Chancellor gives notice that he has accepted with gratitude a benefaction of £1.378m from the Oakhill Group Ltd, to establish a fund for the support of Islamic Studies in the University. This fund is to be named the Hartwell Fund, after Hartwell plc, a subsidiary company of the Oakhill Group. The Council are submitting a Grace to the Regent House (Grace 5, p. 481) for the approval of regulations to govern the proposed fund.
