Friends of Cambridge University Botanic Garden

A series of events will be held in the Gilmour Building in the Botanic Garden (the entrance for evening meetings is behind 47 Bateman Street). All are welcome. Details and tickets are available from Judy Cheney, tel. 01223 336271.

Wednesday, 10 March, at 8 p.m.: A future for the past: Moscow, Florence, and Heveningham Gardens. A talk by Kim Wilkie, of Environmental Design. (Tickets: Friends £3, visitors £4.50.)

Thursday, 29 April, at 8 p.m.: Plants for all seasons. A talk by Ursula Buchan on her new book, which includes photographs by Howard Rice (many of them taken in the Botanic Garden).

Saturday, 8 May, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.: Natural History and Gardening Book Fair. Antiquarian and secondhand books for sale by specialist booksellers.
