Jesus College, Oxford, proposes to award one prestigious Scholarship for postgraduate study and research into languages and/or cultures of Polynesia or Micronesia. The Scholarship is restricted to candidates who have been accepted by the University of Oxford to commence their studies towards the degree of Doctor of Philosophy with effect from October 1999. The College will cover a maintenance allowance for a single person equivalent to an AHRB or ESRC award, University fees at the home and EU postgraduate student rate, and College fees. Grants will be available for travel, books, and research costs.
