Hughes Hall

RESEARCH FELLOWSHIPS

The College proposes to award two Research Fellowships tenable for three years from 1 October 1999 and which may be renewed for a further period of two years. One of the Research Fellowships will be awarded without subject preference, but applications will be welcomed from candidates in the following fields: Earth Sciences, Geography, Economics, Social and Political Sciences, Engineering. There is no age limit but candidates must have obtained a Ph.D. Degree or equivalent within the last ten years or expect to be awarded one by 1 October 1999. The Research Fellows will be members of the Governing Body, eligible to sit on College committees, and will be expected to play an active role in College life. They will be entitled to the normal privileges of Fellows and financial support may be available when attending meetings as participants and towards expenses associated with their research.

Applications should be sent to Professor P. Richards, President, Hughes Hall, Cambridge CB1 2EW, by 31 March 1999 together with a curriculum vitae, the names of three referees, a statement of not more than 1,000 words outlining present and future research, and details of the applicant's present and expected means of financial support.
