REGULATIONS FOR EXAMINATIONS: NOTICE BY THE GENERAL BOARD

The General Board give notice that, on the recommendation of the Faculty Board or other authority concerned, the regulations for certain University examinations have been amended as follows:

Archaeological and Anthropological Tripos, Part IIB

The supplementary regulations for the subject Social Anthropology in Parts IIA and IIB of the Archaeological and Anthropological Tripos (Statutes and Ordinances, p. 240) have been amended, with effect from 1 October 1999, as follows:

Paper S4.  Advanced social anthropology I

The courses for this paper will cover one of two subject areas, either (a) Cognition, knowledge, and belief, or (b) Ethics and moral economy. The subject area to be taught in any year will be announced not later than the division of the Lent Term in the preceding year.

Paper S5.  Advanced social anthropology II

The courses for this paper will cover one of two subject areas, either (a) Political economy, or (b) Transformations of society. The subject area to be taught in any year will be announced not later than the division of the Lent Term in the preceding year.
